The Gemma treats the pump as a setting rather than a shoe. Jewel-cut stones — emerald green, garnet red, amethyst, smoke topaz, and pale opal — are bezel-set in polished gold across the vamp and quarters, scattered with the deliberate irregularity of a heirloom brooch rather than a repeating pattern. Beneath the stones, black leather runs to a sharply elongated point, and a slim slingback strap keeps the whole thing anchored on a 90mm stiletto. Scarpetto made the Gemma for the evening where the shoe is the jewelry.
